Kocaman Pet is a family-owned company with close to 20 years of experience in manufacturing and supplying pet products. We have taken part in the international pet trade fairs in Germany every year since 2008, and over that time we have exported to 35 countries. Today our most active markets are in Western Europe and North America.
Our priority has always been quality rather than the lowest price. All of the materials we use, including leather, textiles, plastics and metal fittings, are produced specifically for pet products to high-strength international standards, and they are brought together with the workmanship of two decades of production experience. The results are visible in the field: our products regularly receive hundreds of reviews in the 4.5 to 5 star range online, and within Türkiye we supply our own brands directly to more than 2,500 veterinary clinics and pet shops.
In short, we offer a sustainable supply model designed for the European market, one that combines quality production, export experience, strong operational management and a long-term partnership approach.
1. Products and Quality
Are the brands on your website your own?
Yes. Every brand we supply is owned by us.
How would you describe your product quality and pricing?
Our range is designed for the mid to upper segment, so we do not offer cheap or low-quality items. What sets us apart from many manufacturers, both in Türkiye and abroad, is that all of our raw materials are produced specifically for pet products and meet high-strength international standards. They are then assembled with the correct workmanship built on years of experience. This keeps our quality consistent and sustainable while our prices stay competitive.
Which product groups can you supply?
For both cats and dogs, our main categories are:
- Accessories, such as collars, leashes, harnesses, toys, clothing, backpacks and litter mats
- Treats
- Cosmetic and grooming products
We have already exported these groups to the EU and hold the documentation needed for export. Among them, accessories are the fastest and most trouble-free group for import and export.
Do you manufacture the products yourselves?
Yes, we produce a large part of our range in-house. Accessories are manufactured at our own factory in Bolu, Türkiye, and our cosmetic products are also made in Türkiye. For treats, most of our dog treats are produced in Türkiye, while the majority of cat treats are produced in China. All of our products are researched and developed in Türkiye by an experienced team that includes veterinarians.
Do you offer private label or OEM production?
Yes. We have been providing private label and OEM production for more than 10 years. For basic branding, labels and stickers can usually be applied without any additional cost. For online stores in particular, we can also provide product photos and descriptions, single-unit packaging and barcoding, so that your needs are covered from start to finish.
Can packaging and labels be customized?
Yes. We can adapt labels to your language requirements or to your country's import regulations.
2. How We Work: Supply Models, Orders and Distribution
We work with our partners under two models, each with its own conditions. In the first, you distribute our established Kocaman brands. In the second, private label or OEM, we produce under your own brand.
Is there a minimum order?
This depends on the model. For our own brands there is no minimum order quantity, so you can begin with small quantities. For private label and OEM production, the minimum order value is generally between 10,000 and 15,000 EUR per order, depending on the variety of products.
We prefer to work this way on purpose. Rather than low-volume, unplanned sales that lead to market saturation and price erosion, we look for long-term partners who have already completed their budget, sales plan and market research.
Can I order samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. You can order a single sample box to assess our quality first. We will issue an EXW invoice and send it to you by air freight so that you can examine the products quickly.
Do you offer exclusive distribution rights, and are there any sales restrictions?
For our own brands, yes. We can supply them worldwide and offer exclusive distribution rights for a country or region. There is one important condition, which exists to protect our partners in other countries and the pricing they maintain. Our own-brand products may not be sold on cross-border international marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay or Etsy that ship to other countries. You may sell them offline in your own country, or online only through local platforms that operate within your country and ship only inside it.
For private label and OEM orders there are no such restrictions. Since the products carry your own brand, you are free to sell them however and wherever you wish.
What is the ordering process?
Once your account is approved, you can prepare a draft order and get in touch with us. We will then issue a proforma invoice and go through the details and next steps together.
How long do production and delivery take?
Production generally takes three to four weeks for both first and repeat orders, while items already in stock can be ready sooner, in about one to two weeks. For deliveries to Europe by road freight, transit time is usually 10 to 15 days to the door.
3. Export, Shipping and Customs
Can you export every product on your website?
Yes. We currently export to 35 countries without any difficulty, including Japan, the USA, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria, Australia and Germany.
What does the export procedure look like?
It depends on the product category:
- Accessories are the simplest group. No special documentation or permits are required for most countries.
- Treats are handled with a veterinary health certificate. Because requirements vary from one destination to another, you should have your import permits, official registrations and paperwork ready in advance in your own country. In particular, we recommend arranging your EORI number and similar customs registrations with a licensed customs broker or import consultant.
- Cosmetics are cosmetic rather than medical products, so importing them is straightforward. An MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is occasionally requested during transport.
What Incoterms do you use, and what delivery options are there?
Our price lists are normally prepared EXW (Ex Works, Incoterms 2020) from the Kocaman Pet factory. However, to support you in the early stages of our cooperation, we provide cost assistance up to FCA, effectively delivering your goods to the carrier at no extra charge to you. As an international hub, we send company trucks to Istanbul every week, so once your packing list is ready we can offer our own logistics quote, and you are equally free to obtain alternative freight quotes.
With around 15 years of export and logistics experience, we manage these operations smoothly and work with international carriers such as Kuehne+Nagel, DHL, UPS and DB Schenker for air, sea and road freight. For Europe, road freight is the common choice, with delivery to the door usually taking 10 to 15 days.
What about freight and customs costs?
Freight costs vary by product group, coming to roughly 5 to 7 percent for accessories and 5 to 15 percent for treats as a share of order value. Thanks to the trade agreements between Türkiye and the EU, many products can be imported without customs duty. On import you generally pay only VAT, and because this is recoverable when you resell the goods, most professional importers do not treat it as a permanent cost. Your customs broker can confirm the exact figures for your country.
4. Pricing and Payment
Are these list prices or export wholesale prices?
The prices you see are already our lowest prices. Whether you are a single shop or a large distributor, we know that entering a new market takes support, so we offer our biggest discount on your first purchase to help you get started.
How often do your prices change?
Because our price lists are prepared in foreign currency, in EUR and USD, they generally stay valid throughout the year, which gives you a stable basis for planning.
How can I see the prices?
Simply complete the dealer application on our website. After a quick review we will activate your account, and you will be able to see all product prices.
What payment methods and terms do you accept?
We accept bank transfer (T/T) and work in EUR and USD. Once your products are selected, we prepare a proforma invoice. To begin production we ask for a 50 percent advance payment, and production starts as soon as it is received. When your order is ready to ship, we issue the final invoice, and the goods are dispatched once the remaining 50 percent balance has been transferred.
5. Support and After-Sales
Do you provide marketing and operational support for online sellers?
Yes. For partners selling online, we can help with product photography, product descriptions, single-unit packaging and barcoding. Our current marketing support focuses on digital materials adapted to your country's needs, and as our cooperation and order volume grow we will gladly expand it. Once your order is defined, we will set out the scope, cost and practical details of these services.
What is your policy on damaged or defective goods?
